We are excited to kickoff our new small group ministry at Highland, known as Life Groups.  This new endeavor will assist us in our efforts to make disciples of Jesus Christ, both among the current membership, as well as those new members who join our family in the future.  Life Groups are essentially small groups trying to live out the fullness of Christian life together.  These groups will not replace, but will become a valuable addition to our current efforts of disciple-making that include Sunday School and our weekly corporate gathering. 

 Our purpose for these groups will be to foster an intimate setting and opportunity to teach and train in Christ.  We will do this by encouraging one another to further center our lives upon the gospel, seeking to learn more about our great God and to be conformed to the image of Jesus Christ by the power of the Holy Spirit.  These groups will incorporate times of fellowship, worship, and service.  Those in Life Groups will serve each other, our church family, and the communities in which we live.  In addition, we hope these groups will serve as entry points for those in the community around us as we seek to welcome them into the family of Highland Baptist.   These groups are going to be fun and exciting!  As we meet in homes throughout the week we hope that deep friendships in Christ will be formed as we seek to live life together.
